This is the first post to the Castro Adobe blog! Friends of Santa Cruz State Parks is very excited to be able to chronicle the ongoing efforts to stabilize and restore the Castro Adobe. Please add comments or questions and we will try to post them and/or answer them questions quickly. We hope this can be a place to share ideas, history, upcoming opportunities or anything else related to this incredible building. Onward!

Really glad to hear of the new tarp on the roof. Looking forward to read about ongoing restoration. Can I put in a vote to restore the garden to the Thomas Church design? It really is beautiful that way.
